この文は We're going to Liberty Island(わたしたちはリバティ島に行くつもりです)とこれ からの計画を言ったのち、そうする目的をto see the Statue of Liberty(自由の女神像を 見るために)で述べています。このくto+動詞の原形)、つまり不定詞は、「...するために」と いう目的を表します。are going(行くつもりです)という動詞の部分を説明する副詞の働きを するので、これを不定詞の副詞的用法と言います。
