Ayane                  Oh! Thanks, Min-jun. First place is more impressive than an honorable mention.

Min-jun                Well, Lea and Lucas liked your designs, so—

Julia                     Min-jun! We saw your interview!

Min-jun                Oh, hello, Julia. You did?

Holly                    You did a great job!

Min-jun                Thank you, Holly. It was an interesting experience.

Julia                     Will you make a dress for me sometime?

Holly                    I want one, too!

最優秀賞は特別賞より強い印象を与えます。

 

形容詞の比較級 (more+形容詞)

impressiveのようにスペリングが長めの形容詞は、<more+形容詞〉で比較級 を作ります。比べる基準を示して「Aよりもっと)...」と言うときはくmore +形容詞+ than A>の形を用います。moreを使って比較級を作る形容詞には、次のようなものがあります。

delicious	とてもおいしい
difficult	難しい
exciting	わくわくさせる
convenient	便利な
interesting	おもしろい
thrilling	ぞくぞくさせる。
