Min-jun                For the lunch set, you choose the type of soup and a side dish.

Brandon               What do you recommend?

Min-jun                The chicken soup is better than the vegetable soup. The spicy beef soup is the best.

Brandon               Mm! I'll get that.

Emma                  I don't like spicy food. I'll get the chicken soup.

≫goodの比較級better、最上級best

 

The chicken soup is better than the vegetable soup.

チキンスープは野菜スープよりおいしいです。

 

The spicy beef soup is the best.

スパイスのきいたビーフスープがいちばんおいしいです。

 

goodの比較級は better、最上級はbestです。もとのgoodとまったく形がちがうので、注意しましょう。最上級 bestには、冠詞theをつけます。
